It has been a little more than a month since the little antique communities of Madison and Bouckville have shrunken back to normal population. The leaves are changing and the autum antique shoppers are beginning to make their way in to the year round antique shops. We have had some time to reflect on some of the best parts of Antique Week and some of the areas that we can improve on for next year.

But the first thing we agree on is that Madison Bouckville Antique Week was a huge success with a turnout as large, or better than, recent years. If you browse through the photo gallery on the web site you will see the fantastic areial veiws of Bouckville taken Thursday the 18th, showing the huge foot print that this event covers. Also, you will see large numbers of people consisting of dealers and buyers that litterly came from all parts of our country and Canada and some that came to Bouckville from abroad. These pictures and this turnout are reasons that should convince our future attendees that Madison Bouckville Antique Week is an event to put on their calender for years to come.

We have also decided to make announcements and help promote 2 other events that have been important to this antique community in the past. The first and nearest would be the Holiday Open House "Eat & Shop", held November 4th, 10am to 7pm and November 5th and 6th, 10am till 6pm.This will be an open house weekend in which most of the year round merchants will participate. You will find many of those unique Christmas gifts show cased and some, event discounted, making this a shopping weekend you will not want to miss. So plan ahead and spend your day shopping and enjoying a meal at one of our many area resturaunts. Find member antique store and resturaunt info at

In the Spring Bouckville will once again host a version of the June show. For those of you who remember past June show's we ask that you keep an open mind and look for an event that may differ than the past. Many of our dealers and show fields are still in the planning stages, so as news develops we will keep you informed.

News of the Holiday Open House Eat & Shop will be posted on the web site title page very soon and the late October newsletter will also show up in your E-mailbox as a reminder to "Christmas shop Madison-Bouckville". Look for the Lights.
